Discoveries in the Making

If Bill Nye and TEDx planned a happy hour, it would go something like this. Join the UAB Graduate School for Discoveries in the Making and hear from two powerhouse PhD students, Rhiannon Reed and Alexander Hoffman, as they bring the cliff-notes version of their exciting research to the community.

“Navigation to donation” presented by Rhiannon Reed
Rhiannon's research explores the effectiveness and impact of the Living Donor Navigator program, implemented at UAB to increase living kidney donation.

“To intervene or not to intervene” presented by Alexander Hoffman
Alexander's research looks at bystander effect and college athletes, specifically whether or not there is a need for an athlete specific bystander intervention program.
